Do the winners get prizes in cash or kind?

. The winners prizes are in cash. The Terms and Conditions have more information (at the bottom), but the high-level breakdown is:
The main prize pool will have prizes awarded for the first ($14,000), second ($8,000), and third ($6,000) in the final evaluation. There will be two $1,000 honorable mentions for valid submissions that take novel approaches to solving the problem.
