Sanity check: Overfitting to a poor solver?

I find the problem statement intriguing, but the problem description does not pass a sanity check and hence I seek your clarification. Looking at the reference paper, it seems like in theory just the values Y1=y(0),S1=y’(0) is sufficient to fully solve for the curve y’‘=Sinh(y). The rest of the values are redundant. Also, the error in y’'-Sinh(y) in the sample outputs seemed quite substantial so am unsure if I should proceed with the challenge without having information on how the sample outputs were generated.
